Scope
This code applies to ETH Canal events, workshops, online spaces, speaker interactions, partner coordination, and future member activities.
Core expectations
- Treat participants with respect and professional seriousness.
- Keep technical and commercial debate rigorous without making disagreement personal.
- Respect session boundaries, privacy requests, and organizer guidance.
- Do not misrepresent affiliation, endorsement, credentials, or project status.
Unacceptable behavior
- Harassment, stalking, deliberate intimidation, discriminatory conduct, or unwanted contact
- Sustained disruption of talks, workshops, or online sessions
- Fraud, impersonation, spam, or attempts to obtain confidential information
- Retaliation against someone who reports a concern in good faith
Reporting and enforcement
Use an official ETH Canal contact channel and clearly state that the message concerns conduct. Include the relevant activity, what occurred, and whether there is an immediate safety concern. ETH Canal may warn, remove, or exclude participants according to severity. Membership, sponsorship, or partner status does not exempt anyone from enforcement.
