Argentina’s Comisión Nacional de Valores reported that its president, Roberto E. Silva, discussed tokenization and supervision of virtual asset service providers at Argentina Fintech Forum. The October 30 statement also describes continued work on the regulatory sandbox and coordination with the central bank and financial intelligence unit.

The emphasis puts market innovation alongside transparency and investor protection. A speech about the policy agenda is not an authorization for a particular token, issuer or business model, and it does not establish that a specific project qualifies for the sandbox.

For regional builders, this suggests a useful preparation task: describe the instrument, the service provider’s role and the customer protections separately. That makes discussions with advisers and authorities more precise than treating tokenization as a single regulatory category shared across every LATAM market.
