Base’s October 30 maintenance notice schedules the Denim mainnet upgrade for November 5 at 18:00 UTC. It directs node operators to the required base/base release before activation and says the network is expected to remain operational during the upgrade window.

The release notes distinguish mainnet preparation from Base Sepolia, where Denim is already active. They also flag configuration changes. Operators should check their actual launch arguments against the official instructions rather than assuming that replacing a binary is the whole upgrade.

For application teams, a scheduled network change is a reason to review dependencies and observe transaction behavior around activation. It is not evidence that a future upgrade has already shipped, and this notice alone does not establish payment adoption, guaranteed latency or transaction finality.
