Chainlink brings S&P vault risk assessments to Base
The live integration publishes independent assessments of lending-vault risk onchain, starting with Base.

Chainlink says it has expanded its work with S&P Global Ratings to publish Vault Risk Assessments onchain, with Base as the first supported blockchain. The assessments give a forward-looking view of the relative risk that an investor's vault position is impaired.
According to Chainlink, the analysis considers portfolio credit quality and liquidity mismatch, as well as risks associated with the curator, protocol, blockchain, governance and security. A decentralized oracle network reaches consensus on reported values before publication.
Accessible risk data can help teams compare vaults, but an assessment is not a guarantee against losses. Users still need to understand the methodology, update frequency and their own exposure.
