Chainlink announced CustodySync on October 26 as a way to synchronize qualified custodians and DeFi lending markets while collateral remains in custody. Anchorage Digital Bank is the launch partner, and its Atlas collateral-management product is part of the arrangement.

Chainlink describes shared reserve and pricing information across a loan’s lifecycle, including borrowing, repayment and liquidation. The announcement describes infrastructure and a partner; it does not establish that a specific client has completed a loan.

The distinction matters to institutions evaluating onchain credit: custody arrangements, collateral rights, liquidation procedures and protocol risks still need review. A common data feed can coordinate participants, but it does not remove their operational or legal responsibilities.
