Circle and ACI Worldwide announced a collaboration to demonstrate how financial institutions could incorporate USDC settlement into existing payment operations through ACI Connetic and Circle infrastructure. The initial focus is Colombia.

ACI built the central infrastructure for Bre-B, Colombia's interoperable instant payments ecosystem. The companies say the initiative explores how stablecoins can complement existing rails; their announcement does not establish that USDC settlement is a live Bre-B service available to the public.

For regional product teams, the distinction matters: a demonstration can test operational integration while leaving questions about participants, governance, settlement arrangements and regulatory requirements to be resolved before broader availability.
