Ethereum Institutional announced Laurens Schepens as its Head of APAC, based in Singapore. The organization says he most recently served as an Executive Director at UBS, where he developed and scaled UBS Tokenize and led digital assets work for APAC. His new remit is engagement with financial institutions building on Ethereum.
The announcement identifies experience across structured products, funds, bonds and equity. For institutions considering tokenization, that background speaks to the coordination required between product design, bank operations and onchain infrastructure. Recruiting that expertise is an organizational development, rather than evidence that a new financial product has launched.
