Hoodi waits while Ethereum checks Glamsterdam gas assumptions
The Ethereum Foundation is asking developers to check eight assumptions before the Hoodi fork proceeds.

The Ethereum Foundation says Hoodi will not fork until compatibility issues involving EIP-8037 and EIP-8038 are resolved. ChainSecurity found projects relying on gas assumptions the changes would break. Developers are being asked to check eight published invariants.
For a contract team, the useful task is to inventory assumptions in both onchain code and supporting software, reproduce the relevant cases and document the result. A generic audit badge does not answer whether a particular gas calculation remains valid.
This is a testnet scheduling and compatibility decision. It does not establish that the changes have reached mainnet. Teams should use the reviewed specification for release planning rather than assume a fork date.
