Takenos says LATAM Airlines uses its platform to distribute per diems to crew and maintenance staff in Paraguay, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Ecuador. Its October 26 case study says the arrangement covers more than 5,000 people and is already being implemented.

The provider says the process replaces cash and local intermediaries with a unified distribution and reconciliation flow. It also describes Rain’s stablecoin infrastructure as part of how staff receive, hold and use funds. These are provider-reported operating details, not an independent measurement of fees or outcomes.

Per diems are a specific operational payment, not evidence that the airline has moved all payroll onchain. For regional employers, the useful questions include local access, exchange costs, support for workers and reconciliation across jurisdictions.
