Stripe highlights stablecoin payouts, with Base support

The announcement names USDC and OUSD, connecting wallet payouts with the existing Global Payouts product.

Jesse Pollak highlighted Stripe adding USDC and OUSD payouts on Base. His post quotes Stripe Crypto describing wallet payouts for US businesses to recipients in more than 160 markets, funded from fiat or stablecoin balances in Stripe Treasury. Stripe says it handles conversion where needed.

For contractors and suppliers, the useful distinction is between the sender’s funding balance and the recipient’s delivery rail. A business can evaluate a wallet payout within an established payout workflow, while still checking the supported asset, network and recipient requirements.

Stripe’s documentation lists wallet payouts as a public preview for US businesses, excluding New York. Recipient and network eligibility still apply. Stripe’s October product update already described stablecoin payouts in 160 markets, so this week’s message should be read as a product and network update rather than the invention of global wallet payouts.
