Takenos raises $7 million for its next LATAM expansion
The company puts total funding at $12 million and targets more markets in 2027.

Takenos announced a $7 million seed extension led by North Island Ventures and Road Capital Management, bringing reported total funding to $12 million. Its post lists six operating countries and plans to reach more than 15 in 2027.
The company says the capital will support local payment rails and licensing, enterprise APIs, products and hiring. Expansion targets remain plans: funding does not establish that a service or license is already available in each proposed market.
For LATAM builders, the interesting execution question is the connection between stablecoin settlement and local delivery. APIs alone cannot replace local liquidity, compliance operations and payout support. Track country-level availability rather than assuming a regional announcement makes every corridor usable.
