Yellow Card acquires GoMoney to establish direct Brazil operations
Local real payments and stablecoin settlement sit alongside a still-pending authorization application.
Yellow Card says it completed its acquisition of Brazil’s GoMoney in October. The announcement describes local collections and disbursements in reais, including Pix, linked to stablecoin settlement and the group’s treasury services.
GoMoney continues under the transitional regime for virtual asset service providers, according to the company. Its application for full authorization remains subject to Banco Central do Brasil review and approval. Acquisition completion and authorization completion are separate milestones.
The practical significance for payments teams is a local operating connection, not simply another blockchain integration. Before designing a corridor around it, confirm the service scope, onboarding requirements, liquidity and settlement arrangements for the actual business case.
